I love homes, plain and simple. I love looking at them, fixing them up, decorating them, and daydreaming about them. I picture myself in every single property I see. I’ve lived in the Texas hill country on 15 acres, in a penthouse apartment on the 30th floor of a high rise in Singapore, in a 650 sq. ft. flat in Copenhagen, in a suburb of Austin in a 3500 sq. ft. historic home and now in a 1000 sq. ft. 1950s house in central Austin. Every one of those experiences has been life changing and has taught me that home truly is where the heart is! I’m passionate about traveling and soaking up new cultures and have dreams of someday owning a bed and breakfast in a faraway land but for now I’m thrilled to get to live in my hometown, the beautiful Austin, TX.
I graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in English and I’m certified to teach high school English. I consider myself an Austin area school aficionado. I’ve researched many of the schools in Austin in the quest to find the perfect school for my son, Cosmo. I’m interested in alternative education and spend a lot of my spare time reading about educational philosophies and contemplating a perfect school system.
I’m a junk store junky and I’m mildly obsessed with vintage furniture. Digging through flea market stalls looking for that perfect item to make a home feel complete brings me such joy. Decorating is one of my hobbies and our house is in a constant state of home improvement. Most of my weekends include at least one trip to a home improvement store.
When I’m not selling real estate, wielding a paint brush, traveling or restoring our 200 year old house in Denmark with my husband, Philip, you can find me and my family doing our small part to make the world a better place by advocating for the environment or feeding the homeless.
