Ecology Action Donation
Daniel Kietzer and Bek Day chose Ecology Action of Texas as their donation recipient! Ecology Action’s mission is to create a healthier environment through resource recovery operations, Brownfield remediation, and zero waste initiatives. Located on E. 9th Street and I-35, their great work keeps 1.5 tons of cardboard, glass, aluminum, electronic, Styrofoam and other recyclables out of the landfill EVERY MONTH. Keep up the great work Joaquin and crew!
Austin Children’s Services Donation
$1,620.00 was donated to Austin Children Services on behalf of Ryan and Mor Leach. For over 30 years, ACS has offered protection and healing to children who have experienced abuse and neglect. Providing residential and non-residential services to children, youth, and families. Their emergency shelter and long-term residential programs provide support for kids in the state’s care. they also provide foster, adoption, and kinship care services to families in Central Texas. And their community-based programs offer a range of supports and services aimed at strengthening families and keeping children safe in their own homes.
Humane Farming and American Humane Assoc Donations
$2,830.00 was donated to the Humane Farming Association and the American Humane Association on behalf of a Give Realty client. The Humane Farming Association works to ensure humane treatment of farm animals and the American Humane Associate ensures humane treatment of children and animals.
Parkside Community School and Guanacaste Fund Donations
$6,482.00 was donated on behalf of the Merritt/Kloninger family to Parkside Community School and the Guanacaste Fund. Parkside Community School is a nonprofit Montessori school their children attend (and love). The Guanacaste Fund donation supports the impactful work of the organization in favor of the people, flora, fauna and they environment of the Guanacaste province in Costa Rica.
Food for the Hungry Donation
$4,675.00 was donated to Food for the Hungry by the Kouri Family. Food for the Hungry (FH) is a Christian organization serving the poor globally since 1971. We reflect the love of Christ in short-term emergency relief and long-term work to end world hunger.
Donations to Polaris, KMFA and The Planetary Society
$3,025.00 was donated on behalf of Chris and Alex Cavalli to Polaris – a human trafficking organization, KMFA – Austin’s own classical radio station and The Planetary Society – headed up by Bill Nye the Science Guy!
ZACH Theatre Donation
$3,225.00 was donated to Zach Scott Theatre on behalf of the Jowers Family and in memory of Alice Jowers. Alice always had a “song in her heart” and was a supporter of the arts and music. Zach Scott Theatre was a natural choice!
FairVote Donation
$1,850.00 was donated to FairVote on behalf of Alex and Brittney Cavalli. FairVote strives to make democracy fair, functional, and representative for all voters.
Front Steps Donation
$1,250.00 was recently donated to Front Steps on behalf of Suzie Litz. Suzie is a volunteer at Front Steps, a wonderful organization whose mission is to provide a pathway home through shelter, affordable housing, and community education.
